Our Story

The journey began in Stuttgart, Germany, where founder Saad Naseer — a fullstack developer with a passion for e-paper — first created Inkycal in 2018 to help plan his own day.

As the open-source project grew, so did the feedback. More and more people wanted a turnkey experience without needing a Raspberry Pi or Linux skills. Businesses also began reaching out, asking for solutions that looked and felt professional.

And so the next step became clear:

Well-designed hardware paired with refined software — a seamless experience from unboxing to everyday use.

 

Rooted in Germany, Made for the World

We’re proud to design and assemble our products in Stuttgart, working closely with partners in China for hardware manufacturing. We use recyclable materials, such as PLA for our enclosures, and aim to make maintenance, repair, and part replacement easy — because sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought.
